LID Controls

Come spend 2/12 days on the Chesapeake Bay and learn about Low Impact Development from Larry Coffman the nationally known pioneer and lecturer on the widely acclaimed ecologically based stormwater management technology. Mr. Coffman is now offering a special intensive hands-on comprehensive 2 ½ day long LID workshop. Here’s your chance to learn the latest developments in LID from the creator of this innovative approach to urban stormwater management.

This workshop is ideal for local, state and federal government officials to help incorporate LID advanced principles and practices into their current regulatory programs to meet NPDES requirements, address TMDL’s, restore the ecological integrity of our waters, address combined sewer overflows, retrofit existing urban areas or protect supply waters. The course will provide all the information necessary to development watershed protection strategies, design manuals, LID policies, LID codes and training / inspection programs. Benefit from the lessons learned over the last 33 by one of the industry’s most innovative trend setters.

The building community (developers, engineers, landscape architects and contractors) will find this workshop invaluable as it provides all technical and economic information needed to plan, design, construct, and market and maintain LID practices and developments.

LID stands apart from conventional approaches as the most economically and environmentally sustainable technology for urban stormwater management. LID provides better water quality protection while preserving development potential and reducing development costs and long term maintenance of stormwater infrastructure costs.

Location: Chesapeake Beach, Maryland at the Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa.

Time: Tuesday September 25, 2007 – Thursday September 27, 2007
